Some of the pictures in this book are very ugly and you may not want to show them to young children, but the stories can be funny. It is nice and big, and thin, so some of it could be good for reading aloud.

Hare seems to appear as a rather off-the-wall hero in many folk-tales from around the world - this collection of 10 short stories comes from the fertile imagination of the author of The Indidan in the Cupboard - older children will read it for themselves - also good for group reading.
