These are the things that dreams are made of, where quiet inspiration lives and takes a hold of your imagination. This is a story of a hard working couple with can-do spirit. This is the American dream made into reality, one renovation at a time. What speaks to me most, is the quiet, reflective nature of Jo and her listening to that small, quiet voice inside. Although they are not outwardly religious, you have this beautiful sense of the unfolding of life, that has a spiritual center. It is the mysterious weave of a living story, that can only be told in retrospect, of understanding of how all the pieces were meant to come together.

This book made me love Chip and Jo even more than I already did from watching every episode of Fixer Upper. I feel inspired by their story of hard work, staying true to themselves, and believing in each other. They somehow have found a way to work hard to achieve their dreams and still have time to enjoy life. Something worth noting.
