I had a book on my wish list become available. This morning I got the canceled e-mail and the sender says they can't send it because it was requested on another site first. What?!?!?! Last Edited on: 8/2/10 8:22 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I wonder if it's the same person that the another person jsut posted about, see thread Really Wrong Reason. If it's a newbie posting books to multiple sites and they keep giving this reason for cancelling-PBS will have a word with them. m |

Can't speak for the other case, but this person isn't a newbie. Their profile says they've been a member since 2007. They should definitely know better! |

I thought the PBS rules said something about being sure that the book will be available to be sent out before posting... if you're posting the same book to 2 different sites, how can you do that? Not fair to you at all :( I'd let TPTB know... at least if they have a history of doing this, it'll get looked into... or they'll have a record of it. |

I agree with Debbie, send the info to TPTB. If this member is developing a pattern of this, they will probably want to know. Terms of membership state that members posting books declare it to be postable and agree to send it in a timely manner...not that they will send it IF it's not traded elsewhere first. Members trading on multliple sites need to pull books off their PBS bookshelf when no longer available to PBS members. |
