Mail-To-A-Friend option

does anyone use this feature?  It sounds very interesting to me.

I use it all the time when I have books I want to mail to my mother (who is not a PBS member). I find it very convenient.

I used to use the PBS custom DC feature, but have found Mail-to-a-Friend to be much handier.

I use it for book deals for the extra books; by typing in the same address as the ordered book the PBS system puts all the books together for one shipping label. Those books also go in your transaction archive, so it's very handy.

I've used it a couple of times. It is very convenient!

It seems to come in handy for those who send out "free" unpostable books that are offered in the Book Bazaar.  You can still print out a shipping label so you can mail from home.  I love having that option.

I use it for book swap games and for deals.  I was forgetting to remove deal books from my bookshelf.  The Mail to a Friend does that.

IIRC, the custom DC does tracking, but not postage.

I also use it for book deals.  It removes the books from your shelf and as said above puts them in your Transaction Archive.  There are no credits involved.  You do have to type the address in each time for multiple free books to the same address, however.  I make this a little quicker by using copy and paste.

I use it like Robin and Linda described. I have over 300 books on my TBR so use a lot of  my credits to get books for my 2 adult daughters.

Barb, you could type Doctor Sleep in the search box.  Then on the right are many buttons you can click on.

click on the last button "more options"

This brings up 11 options. Click on Mail-to-a-Friend, last option.

then you type in the name and address of where you want to send.

It says you can also mail to non members and it does not use credits.

I was thinking it's another option to mail wl books.

If you are mailing a wl for a game or a box where credits are not exchanged you use the mail to a friend. But when gold key members mail WLs to  a specific person we post them directly to the receipient's wish list.
