Depends on the weight Patricia, but multiples do not cost much more to mail than a single book. Many members prefer to mail multiples because of the savings (cost per book). Current mail rates are listed here at PBS in the Help Documents.
I've posted the current Media Mail rates below. Although book sizes vary alot, let's say (for example) 1 pocketbook/novel weighs about 10 oz. and would ship for $2.69. 3 books the same size would weigh 30 oz. and ship for only $3.17....about 50 cents more for 2 additional books in the package. But if you mail multiples, do check on some durable packaging. If you just slip them loose in an regular manilla envelope there is a high chance the envelope will be damaged enroute and the books lost and/or damaged.
