1.  Mix apples and sugar together.

2. Add eggs (well-beaten), oil, nuts, and vanilla.

3. In separate bowl, mix remaining dry ingredients together and add to apple mixture.

4. Bake in a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch pan at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.

I don't remember where I got this recipe but I made it for a Harvest Supper our group had recently and it was well received.  A very moist cake.  Any kind of apple may be used.
