This is book 3 of the Brotherhood of War series. An excellent series that follows a few characters throughout their miltary careers. The Majors gives you a glimpse into a soldiers life and a good understanding of military history. I'm definatley not a history buff or particularly interested in military history but this series caught my attention and kept me intrested all the way from the Lieutenants through the Generals! A very entertaining and informative series starting from then end of of WWI (The Lieutenants) in 1943 and coming up to more recent history (The Generals). A great series - much, much better than the "New Breed" series by the same author...

This was a re-read for me, I'm a W.E.B.G. fan. He shows us an aspect of our military from the inside that rings very true. This segment gives insight to the way our military changes to meet percieved threats and in lessons sometimes not learned. (Indo-China. I'm a Korean War vet.) Still a good read the second time.
