I'm new of course: I was wondering how this works - is it more advantageous to post books during heavy volume ( # members on the sight ) ? |

I don't think it would matter unless you have the only copy of books you're posting in the system. When you post a book, and it appears on the "home page" for PBS, if someone clicks on that book to read more about it or to order it, that order will NOT go directly to you if there are more copies in the system that were posted already...it will go to the first person in the FIFO...first in, first out. Of course it would help to move your book one place up in line if that book does get ordered, but that's about it. Welcome to PBS :) Cheryl |

I would say the sooner the better...at least for heavily listed books. Your place in the FIFO system is determined by the time you post your book to your bookshelf--so if five people post the same book in the same day and you are the first one to post your book will be ahead of the other four. |

I post books when my local server is less busy. The pages reload faster at that time. This would make more of a difference for slower connections, such as dial up. |

If really want or have the time to pack up a little more books post them during the time when you think the most people will be online, if not post them when most people wont!

It probably doesn't matter that much in the grand scheme of things in terms of getting your book ordered more quickly. It probably matters to the people helping Sherry N. (Royaltech) with the Book Edit project because there are shifts based on the hour in which the book is posted. http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=190591 |
