The only thing I use on my face now is Albolene Cream.  I have always used it as a makeup remover, but in the last year use it also to wash my face and as a moisturizer.  It comes in a 12-0z. tub for, I think, $13, the last time I bought it (I don't remember, because it lasts forever.  I use about two tubs a year.)  Most drugstores have it, but it's usually tucked away on a top or bottom shelf, so takes some searching.

It's probably better for dry skin, as it is oily.  In the morning after my shower, I rub a tiny dab on my damp face and let it sit while I do other things.  Then, when I'm ready to put on my makeup, I tissue off the extra.  My skin is in as good or better shape as when I spent lots of $$$ on expensive face creams.

I use baby shampoo (from the dollar store of course) that has some water in it (to make it last longer) -  it works great!
