Dramatic and straight from the heart of a very brainy, compassionate and determined young lady from her undergraduate days to med school, on up to senior residency. Dr.Morgan is very likeable and still runs up against time and again the bigotry of male patients, male doctors and get this, female nurses and superintendents. Some people are just gifted with the ability to toughen up and persevere despite insults.
Operating techniques are explained in interesting degrees. Her 100's of patients are talked about in this book, in all their unique, funny and sad situations and her ability to relate to them. This is a book to be read about expertise and about talent which finds its way to successful completion of the long years of training. A universal story actually, about people, human relations during extraordinary trials and tribulations. 343pp.
