I used to have a decent surplus of credits (like 10 or so, which is good for me!), but I'm totally out.  It's raining wishlist books!

Anyone else having this "problem"????

I have too lately, like 8 of them in one week and then I ordered a whole slew from someone clearing off their keeper shelf. I also have had a run on my bookshelf orders. Its been great! Luckily I have a pretty good chuck of credits.

When that happens to me, it's usually new release stuff that came out within the same 2-4 month period.  With those, I usually put them on my WL and wait & wait & wait, and then it seems like everyone who bought new copies will finish them and post them all at once.  When that happens, it's like WL bonanza for a week or so:P

I had about a fifteen in one week a couple of weeks ago, but all is quiet now.  To be fair, seven were fom one person, though.

Wow, I am so jealous. I haven't had any since I can remember. I just posted 2 today, so some other people are getting lucky, but not me!

So sorry Heather.  I'll have a look at your wishlist and see what I can do.  All of my available books are posted, but I have a HUGE TBR and a lot (!) of those are wishlisted.

ETA:  Well, the bad news is that our tastes don't overlap AT ALL, so I can't help you out.  The good news is that we're definitely not competing for the same books!  Vive la difference!  :-)

I've had a few WL books recently and also a small run on my bookshelf, so not a bad week or so. Heather, I'm afraid I don't have anything on your WL, either, although our tastes do overlap some. ;-)

I think I've gotten only 1 WL book since I joined. Maybe I have books on my list that everybody else wants too? Darn.

Me too! I have had 6 WL books come in just over the past two weeks. And 5 of them had been on my WL for over a year! Woohoo!

I've actually had a slow down on my WL books.

I sold some credits not long ago because I had a comfortable amount and wanted a better looking postage budget for the month. :)    I have a comfy number again, but since my WL has some series on it, I wouldn't be surprised to get most of those at once so I try to keep a nice comfy cushion.  I feel silly the rare times I've had to buy credits--I have books to post, I'm just slow; I have to do them a box or two at a time because of space.

I shouldn't have listed the romance books before other genres--they move slow. :P

Which is a long way to say Yay! I'm glad to hear WLs are moving--it gives me hope mine will pick up. :)

Mine  has been really quiet lately. I had two come up within the past couple of days, but before that, the number of books coming to me was actually ZERO and that tab had totally disappeared....which almost never happens! It's been a pretty quiet month...I've got my credit balance up over 30 again for the first time in awhile.

I frequently end up buying credits to cover my impulsive requesting of books. (You can get them in the kiosk... or usually "on sale" in the bazaar http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=107927&ls=450#p2820694 )

I've had quite a few WL books come up, too.  I FINALLY got to request Freakonomics - I was like 500 on the WL a year ago - a few days ago I was 20, and yesterday it came up - woo hoo!  Let's just hope that it's postable so that I can re-post when I'm done.  :)

This last 2 weeks I've had 16 WL books offered and I couldn't turn them down - sometimes that's because I've read people's despair posts over WL 's   getting  rejected or cancelled.   Don't want to disappoint anyone - especially me.  So, of course, I accept them all and have had to buy credits for the last 2 months since my bookshelf is very slim.  I'm considering posting some of the books I've gotten that  I don't find so  interesting anymore.  And a couple of really quick reads that I can post and read before anyone needs them.  Like one pocketbook size that is 81 pages long.  I still have 7 books en route to me!  I'm a glutton!  Just wish I could get some books on my Bookshelf that others would like.

Freakonomics is a great book.  I was given it for Christmas, so I didn't have to wait.  It might have been better if I had--I went to see the author in person and half the talk was out of the book. The other half wasn't, but I think I would have enjoyed them more in the other order.  Course, then I might not have gone if I hadn't read the book, so...it all works out.
