This was a very complex and very creepy read. At the start, there were so many characters and their stories being introduced that I had trouble keeping up...it was like looking at a photo where everything was blurred except for the character speaking and it was confusing not being able to see the entire picture. As you read on, more and more aspects of the picture sharpen into focus and suddenly you are aware that the picture is a truly frightening one. Deeply rooted in the mists of England's far past. It turned into a compelling read.
