Years ago I saw the movie. Bad mistake! Never trust Hollywood to do anything but screw-up a good play. Hart and Kaufman are at their best in this ribald look at an egotistical talk show host (Radio is the medium of the day if you remember what that is.). Their central character is the most contemptuous curmudgeon imaginable, even if he were not the victim of a broken hip suffered from a fall on his hosts property. He treats everyone equally though: with arrant disdain. Initially his arrogance will upset you, but as new characters are introduced you will join in the fun and laugh at the shenanigans. Dont miss this one!
