Man in the Woods is beautifully written. Scott Spencer draws you into the story, the characters, and the details of the relationships between them. The only reason I gave this 4.5 stars instead of 5 was because the ending felt unresolved to me - there were some minor characters whose arcs were left hanging. Other than that, I would highly recommend this literary page turner.

This book was excellent: It was extremely well-written, the language and phraseology were deft and sharp, the subject was interesting, and the story did not end as one might have expected... but, when this reader thought about it, felt it was the most perfect closing possible.

A bit long and not much of a plot line.
