One can visit her her home (17 Rue Cardinale) or at least have a look at it from the outside as it is now a private residence. She details her visits to Les Deux Garcons (one of Aix's oldest cafes) and her daughter's experiences in the mysterious "Passage Agard," an alley that connects the Cours Mirabeau with La Place du Palais de Justice (the site of the Grande Marche). She also provides a lively history of Aix during its roman days. Of course, one can visit Aix without any preamble. But I suggest that having read this deeply personal reminiscence, one has the opportunity to see this amazing place through multiple lenses.« less
