We forgot to start a March thread!

I'm about 1/3 of the way through Demon Bound by Meljean Brook. It's good, just kind of slow paced.

I'm into Roni Loren books lately.  Finished off Fall Into You last night and today I'm on to Need You Tonight.  Love her stuff, once I start a book I can't put it down.

I'm reading Hot Shots by Cari Quinn on the ereader.  Haven't gotten too far into it because I'm reading it on my lunch break, in between actually eating.

I read Beloved and Beholden by Corinne Michaels, and Loving Mr. Daniels by Brittainy Cherry. All three were good, not great.

I can't seem to settle on a book - doing ebooks now for my eyes. I haven't been buying many - Lynsay Sands was my most recent purchase and I enjoyed that one even though the evil vampire showed up again. Robyn Carr's newest series doesn't interest me- barely made it through the first book and nto even sure it's contnued beyond book 2...I've actually read more love inspired this past year than my usual...sigh..nothing seems to interest me. I don't like a lot of drama...used to love Jayne  Ann Krentz- even her historicals-but the whole paranormal stuff she's doing is just yuck to me (and I like paranormal) think I"m in a huge slump

I have been gorging on Ilona Andrews and the Kate Daniels series, also have been reading her Edge series and I love them both! I have been reading  a lot. Some stands outs were Patricia Briggs Dead Heat, Nalini Singh's Rock Hard and Grace Burrowes's Kiss Me Hello. Right now I am reading Madeline Hunter's His Wicked Reputation and it has been good.

Finished:

Demon Bound by Meljean Brook. A bit slow paced, but I enjoyed it very much. 4 stars

Code Zero by Jonathan Maberry (audio book): totally awesome of course, there were zombies involved, too! 5 stars

The Beast Master's Slave by Desiree Acuna: kind of corny but I liked it.4 stars.

Now reading:

Demon Forged by Meljean Brook. Kick ass chick. Enjoying it so far

Exiled by Evangeline Anderson: barely started.

Dying to Please by Linda Howard (audio): despite a lot of detail it is quite fast paced.  I am enjoying it, although in reading someone's review, I now know exactly what is going to happen. LOL

Finished off Need You Tonight yesterday, I just love that whole series!

I picked up Simply Wicked by Kate Pearce to start on next.  I've got like 3 from that series on the TBR pile and another on the way so I thought I'd start on them.

Dang, I keep forgetting to pop in here to visit. I've finished several but the latest one was Thoughtful by SC Stephens. Who follows this series? I was so excited for Kellan's book and loved it, but it surprised me how much I really didn't like Kiera in this book. I did go ahead and pre-order Griffin's book. As uncivilized as he is, I adore him! And I really, really wish she would write Denny's story. I'm tempted to re-read Effortless now...

I loved/hated that series, Melissa. Loved the story, but it was one of those cases where the characters could be really unlikable at times. Can't wait to read Thoughtful, though. Hoping it will come down in price soon.

I am trying to finish up Olivia Cunning's Sinners series. I couldn't wait for Eric's book (Wicked Beat), but ended up hating it. Double Time (Trey) was good. Now I'm reading Sinners at the Altar. There's almost too much sex in this one, though. I'm skipping through a lot of it.

I read Thoughtless and didn't like Kiera in that book. I have the second and third books but haven't read them.

I've been reading some books from the Consequences series - Behind His Eyes 1.5 and 2.5, and Revealed. I usually avoid retelling of the story through another pov but these were all pretty good.

Via Scribd I listened to Taming the Highlander by Lynsay Sands. I really enjoyed it, despite the predictible "bad guy" and the rather slow narrator who read the entire book (even the English speakers) in a Scottish accent. I'll be starting the last in the trilogy today, with the same narrator.

I finished Sinners at the Altar — liked the Jace/Aggie story best, even though the whole paranormal aspect felt weird and out-of-place.

I also finished Tropical Heat by Jaci Burton — meh. I need to catch up on Maya Banks' KGI men, so I started Forged in Steele last night and like it so far.

Oh I very much have a love / hate relationship with the Thoughtless series. I didn't love Thoughtless it was just ok for me. Effortless, loved. Reckless, hard to read in parts and a bit drawn out but really enjoyed. I just sooooo hate how they treated Denny. I loved him so much...which is why I wish she would tell his story. I know we got a glimpse of him 'happy' towards the end of the series but I want to see it! The back and forth thing with Kiera pissed me off constantly. I wanted to smack her all the freakin time!

Lisa, I did enjoy it a lot once I got into it. Dont get me wrong, from my rant above about all the Denny love...lol. I do love Kellan, and I love Kellan and Kiera together. (just didnt like the way they went about it)  I loved that this one was his pov. His thoughts and actions are very angsty. I wonder if Stephens is going to do the other two books from his pov also.

I like that series too Melissa. Kiera and that whole situation made me want to puke sometimes, but I loved both of the guys. It was a love/hate thing for me too. I haven't read Thoughtless yet, but I do have it.

Nothing fabulous lately. Best was the Kristen Ashley I just finished - Penmort Castle. Reading With Abandon by JL Langley now. Seems okay, but it's too early to tell for sure. I also started The Boyfriend Mandate by River James on my kindle.

LOVED the Rock Chick books, but I thought the first one was definitely the weakest one.

I read Masquerade by Nyrae Dawn. It was good but I liked the others in the series better. I think Suzanne Brockmann's Do or Die is next.

Finished the audio of The Hellion and the Highlander by Lynsay Sands. It was pretty good, very predictable, so if I had been reading instead of listening, I probably would not have like it much.

Now listening to Station Eleven by Emily Mandel, a libary book which is another one that I probably wouldn't enjoy were I reading instead of listening.

For reading, I tried a couple of back list titles through Kindle Unlimited. *sigh* it's hard to find much good to read in KU. I do have some Colleen Thompson books on my list that might be good. Before I start something "new to me" I read reviews on PBS, goodreads, Amazon, where ever I can find them (usually just Goodreads) and if there are any 2 and 3 star ratings that ring a bell with me, I pass.

So I am reading Exiled by Evangeline Anderson, need to get caught up on that series, she's got another coming out next month. Then I'll be back to Meljean Brook's demon series, 3 books to go. Not sure which book I will listen to after Station Eleven.

I also finished Rot & Ruin, a zombie book, by Jonathan Maberry last night. Excellent, I am a total Maberry fangurl. So maybe I will listen to one of his audio books next. I have several in my audible account.

I made the mistake of starting a new ebook yesterday.  Was on a bus trip and decided to take the Nook along since I could play games on it also.  So, I had to start a new ebook when I wanted to read and now all I want to do is keep reading that!  I have a paper book I need to finish up and another one to read this week.  Oh, and I have to go vehicle shopping today too.

As an aside, they now have Wifi on school buses???  I was surprised to see a sign up that the bus is a Wifi hotspot so I turned on my Wifi and, sure enough, was able to connect to the internet.  I never imagined that school buses come with Wifi these days.

I like Elle Kennedy.  Her Out of Uniform series was so hot.
