I'm a shooter and a lifetime hand-loader. This book is Carlo Hathcocks' story- a Marine who's combat life probably saved more American lives than any other single individual. His feats are legend among shooters. An amazing man. Shy and self effacing. All he ever really wanted to do was shoot and serve his country. He did both supremely well. This ia a book you should read.

I am an avid military history buff. This book, in all its glory, details what life was like for one of the most skilled scout/snipers in Vietnam. Very in depth book describes life behind enemy lines, the beginnings of the scout/sniper program, and even the art of countersniping. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in military history, specifically Vietnam conflict.
one shot-one kill!! The sniper is the big game hunter of the battlefield, and he needs all of his skills of a woodsman, marksman, hunter, and poacher.he must possess the field craft to be able to position himself for a killing shot, and he must be able to effectively place a single bullet into his intended target.
There have been many Marines. There have been many marksmen, but there has been only one Sgt.Carlos Hathcock.A legend of marine lore.he stalked the Viet Cong behind enemy lines.his record has never been matched:93 confirmed kills. This is his story-powerful,chilling,all-true!!
Believe everything good said about this book. I found it a book to capture the interest of anyone interested in snipers of the Vietnam War. I enjoyed it and am sure others will find it as fascinating as I did.
