I meant to mark it "mail by Tuesday" and I hit the wrong button. What happens if I can't mail the book within two days?

You get 2 days after the mail by date to mark it mailed.  But you are also allowed to mark a book as mailed befor you mail it, as long as you mail it within 48hrs.  PBS understands that life sometimes gets in the way.

 I did exactly the same thing last week.  I pm'd the requester and told her what I did and when I planned to mail.

Yup, Fat Finger Syndrome sometimes strikes me and I hit the wrong button.  I usually just PM the person and tell em what happened.  No big deal.
