I ordered a book from the Marketplace. The tracking number was given to me and his is what I get :

"The tracking information for this item was received by the US Postal Service at Mar 15, but the item has not yet been scanned in the mailstream. Please check back later"

How long does it take to be scanned in?

Thanks!

Hi Michele,

This usually means that a shipping label has been created but the package has not been delivered to the post office yet.

Occasionally a post office will not scan a package in when it is received but the package will get scanned in somewhere along the route to you.  My guess is that it will be scanned into the tracking system within the next 48 hours and you'll then be able to see the estimated delivery date.
