This was a rather enjoyable book. Both the hero and heroine are very likeable people. Thomas, the Marquis de Guis, the catch of the season, has just had his marriage proposal turned down for the second time in 8 months. While he is still smarting, he bumps into Margaret, an Original. She is so unlike what he envisioned in his Marchioness. He initially agrees to be friends with her, since she makes him laugh. She tries to make the serious Marquis "live in the moment". There are the typical secondary characters: a misshish sister, match-making step-mother, over-bearing aunt, etc. A quick and enjoyable read.
