Marr's Field Journal Spring 2004 vol xiv no ii Author:Various On March 22, 1828, a parcel of land was designated for the building of what is now known as The University of Alabama. The land was known as Marr's Field.
Today only a small natural spring, a campus road and the undergraduate literary and art journal bear the name of the original land parcel.
