excellent although first 25 pages are slow. a much heavier book than the cover and the blurb make it out to be.

The plot is perfect Regency. Four sisters strive to save the family manor that is beyond bankrupt. They have a charming neer do well father who has just offed himself, and they all cope with his death in different ways. They plot to head to London and make it in the social scene and marry well. Except, this is all very modern. So Regency novel, + Little Women, meets Bridget Jones, by Barbra Metzger.

The English Hasty sisters try to get out of financial troubles quick by finding husbands. Cover makes it look like average chicklit, but has much more meat and depth.

Excellent read about family, siblings and the power of love. Starts off kind of silly with the 2 oldest Hasty girls setting off to London to try to capture rich husbands to solve the family debts. 50 pages later this book takes a turn and becomes much more than silly chick lit. Really enjoyed this book.
