Anyone know anything about Mary Willis Walker? I've read the four books that I could find by her. She hasn't done anything since. I googled her and couldn't find any information. Did she move from writing to something else? I love her Mollie Cates series. |

I can't find anything else, either. Random House says she's working on a 5th novel, but who knows how long that's been there. Literature map suggests Val McDermid and Laurie R. King as two authors you might enjoy. I haven't read any Val McDermid (here's the Stop You're Killing Me link: http://www.stopyourekillingme.com/M_Authors/McDermid_Val.html) but I do enjoy Laurie R. King's writing. If Googling didn't get you this one, here's a 1994 NYT piece she wrote: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9503E6D7103DF935A25753C1A962958260 - just for fun and some insight into her personality. I'm having trouble finding anything about her in the Austin newspaper after about 2002. I hope that doesn't mean something bad. She is, I think, 65, which is not so old from my viewpoint but is not young, either. |

I've not read either Laurie R. King or Mary Willis Walker by I love Val McDermid. Her stuff is pretty dark and edgy. BBC has done her Tony Hill mysteries for television starring Robson Green. The series is really good but the books are better. I'm off to check off the other two authors. Les got me started on Charles Todd so I always take his advice when it comes to mysteries! :)
