I've taught high school English for 15 years and was intrigued by the premise of this book: the beginning of the feud between the Montagues and Capulets from "Romeo and Juliet."
HOWEVER, the plot was convoluted, peopled with characters with similar names and titles, which got confusing. The author, an actor, seems obsessed with stuffing as many characters as possible into the pages; he includes a dramatis personae of about 4 pages before the story even begins.
I got about 50 pages in before I gave up, and I rarely do that. Not for everyone's tastes, especially mine!
