If you haven't tried Matthew Reilly , Contest or Ice Station because of the length then Hell Island might be of interest. This book, only 110 pages, is packed with action from the first page to the last and can be read in less than one hour. The hero of the story is Scarecrow from Ice Station and if you have read that one then you have a good idea what this book is like. Fun read.

Matthew Reilly books are great for pure escape. When describing his books to others I tell them to imagine the action in a shooter video game; that is what Reilly's adventures remind me of.
