The first of four books in the McCafferty series. The entire series revolves around half-sister, Randi, car accident. The three brothers, Thorne, Matt, and Slade come home to find out what is going on in Randi's life. Finding out she is pregnant and has fired the farm manager begins a long list of questions that the brothers need answers to.

The first book is about Thorne, who runs into his ex from long ago at the hospital where Randi is. To Thorne's surprise, his ex is Randi's admitting ER doctor!! Thorne is in for a wild ride!!

Great story, easy read. Lisa Jackson does a great job of explaining the characters thoughts and feelings. I can't wait to read the next in the series, "The McCaffertys: Matt".

I loved this book and couldn't put it down. This book is about Thorne who left a small town and the woman he left behind. After his sister got hurt in a bad car wreck, Thorne realize the doctor that was in the ER room is the woman he left behind.
