This book was a great disappointment. Billed as a resource for foods to "help your child recover from common illnesses," I expected to find it full of nutritious recipes. Instead, I found it relatively short on recipes and even shorter on nutrition. A very large number of the recipes included contain considerable amounts of sugar (which is nutritionally bankrupt and depresses the immune system). For example, the two recipes provided for sore throats contain ice cream and candy, respectively. The recipes at the end of the book for "comfort foods" are recipes than can easily be found at any mainstream recipe source (for example, Allrecipes.com). I do not consider this to be a helpful resource for anyone who actually desires to help his children kick an illness by boosting their nutrtion.
