As with other books in the Horrible Histories collection, 'The Measly Middle Ages' manages to make history fun in a rather unorthodox fashion. Full of illustrations and puns, it manages to tell some of the more gruesome stories of the middle ages without going too far.
Christians should be warned, the medieval church is spoken of with the same flippancy as Greek and Roman mythology.
