I don't know if it was the class, professor, or just the book, but this was one of the BEST textbooks I have EVER read. Really. It's scary to say that about a textbook, but it was enlightening, interesting, and written in a way that did NOT make it a pain to read. If I had know, I might have even picked it up to read of my own accord (being of course that I have many non-fiction book I have yet to read but would like too).
So especially if you are a media student of any kind, or interested in how the media and the world affect each other, i HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book - it isn't above your head, hard to read, or pointless. I have read some that are each, but this truly is intriguing, and I'll even give it 5 stars for those interested in the subject at all.
