The advantages of Media Mail on bulk orders.
When you order or send one book it costs $2.47 irregardless of how big or little it is so long as it's 1 pound or less. But once that's covered it only cost $.42 for each pound thereafter. Since the average is 3 paperbacks per pound that means about 5 pounds of books can be mailed for the cost of just one more regular book credit. That's about 15 books for the next single credit!
The problem is covering the first book credit. If all you order or send is 3 books, that's about all that will go in the first pound. It's the SECOND pound and each one thereafter that's really a great deal for both parties.
If you're ordering, widen your list. I have an A list that are specific titles I need to complete a series, a B list of authors and genre of interest to me, and a C list of anything else that looks interesting. Look beyond your A list and you'll find a lot of experimental books that you can pick up for really cheap.
SUGGESTION: Any one offering bulk orders in this forum probably already understands this concept. If you can find more than a single book credit worth of books from anyone, ask them if they'll give you a better deal on the additional credits order. I for one ask all the time and rarely have any problem. When I make book offers I'm more than willing to give more books for the additional credits. It doesn't hurt to ask.
Now for my offer.
I will send you 2 paperbacks for 1 credit for the first book credit. That's 2 for 1 to start the order process.
