I'm wondering if media mail takes longer during the holidays--because they have so many other packages that take priority. Has anyone else noticed longer times for their media mail books to get to the recipient? Thank you!

A bit, usually not horrible tho.  But as usual the rest of the year, some slip through very quickly and some just take longer.

More than slow Media Mail, I have more transactions time out (busy senders) or just don't get mailed this time of year.

Everything takes longer during the holiday season.

In my experience, it is actually way, way faster for most of the holiday season, with the exception of the days immediately before and after Xmas.

I'm guessing that from here forward it will take longer since we're so close to the holiday and this will be the busiest mailing week.  Over the past couple of weeks though, books were taking LESS time--I got one sent media mail in just a couple of days.  I thought maybe there were more employees added for the season or something.

IDK but my friends and I who mail a lot of stuff have been having a heck of a time with Priority Mail. A much much higher percentage of packages than normal are taking significantly longer than normal. I mailed a package Dec 3 and it was delivered Dec 21, Priority Mail. I mailed a bunch of stuff on Friday and Saturday. Most of the First Class packages have been delivered and most of the Priority Mail packages have not been delivered. Go figure.
