I'm trying to find a member i've lost touch with so tried member search using her name and city/state. Noting found. Since she shares my first name I thought I'd look for myself-- I'm not found either even though I have a long profile (to be in directory, a member MUST have a profile.) So what gives? |

I searched for you in the directory and found you. I searched for me and it didn't find me. |

Maybe your friend moved to a different City. |

You also have to have your profile set to public to appear in the directory, so if hers is private, she won't come up in the directory. |

Jeanne - I found you and I found me. Good luck with finding your friend. Pat |

I found all of you! (What did I win???) I searched for Jeanne using "first name" and "city" because her city is public. I searched for Jean using the PBS "nickname", since her city isn't public. If a member hasn't made certain info public, and you include that info in your search, then it would be the same as including incorrect info in your search, so searching for Jean by her first name and city wouldn't yield a positive result, even if I knew where she lived. Even if I were stalking her. Even if I were looking in her kitchen window right now.... Bwahaha! Last Edited on: 1/9/13 11:59 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

LOL, Patty! thanks for the suggestions everyone, I will try searching for my "friend" using less info in case she has some info set to "private". |
