I requested a book on auto request on the 22nd.Member did not mark acepted until the 25th.Printed label and marked shipped on the 28th.I was getting lots of books in that were requested long after hers and asked her about one from Florida to ny.this is the details. She said I should have received it she ships asap.To me marking mailed means it is at the post office.I got the book today and the postage lable says mailed May 7th.That was the day i e-mailed her to ask what was up.To me this is agains pbs rules.The book is here and in good condition so will mark recived.I e-mailed her and told her I was unhappy with the way she sends books.But should i let PBS know she did this so they warn her? She is not a new member so should know the rules.

Darlene--Did you fill in the postage date on the form for marking the book received?  I believe that this will generate an e-mail to the other member warning them about marking things mailed before they actually are in the mail.

There is a new category, RWAP, late shipping.   We used to have that little form to fill out to indicate late mailings.  Now it is part of RWAP.  This will trigger a note in their PBS file and an email from PBS.  It does not trigger a request for a credit refund.

  • this means that the postmark on the package was later than the date the book was marked mailed.  See My requested book arrived with a late postmark! for more information about this problem.

Good to know!  I just had one arrive too that was mailed after PBS started sending me the " has this book been recieved" emails!  Mine was inside NC so I knew there was a problem when the book took 5 weeks to arrive, I assumed it was lost.
