To the member who was at the front of the Wish List line for the book that had 8 copies posted in a single day last week and still hasn't had the line move.  I don't know exactly what silliness occurred, but I feel your pain.

I think it's a 'gold key' thing.  I've had a similar thing happen to me - not 8 in one week, tho - 4 times in a month.

It's not just Gold Key, it's always been around. Sometimes it's just friends posting to each other (which has always been possible, the Gold Key just makes it more convenient), sometimes it's Wish List Multiples threads in the Book Bazaar, sometimes it's genre specific swaps in other forums. Graphic novels are a good example, as it seems members who favor those types of books tend to band together and exchange titles with each other. I agree, 8 in one week is brutal, but I think it's likely an exception. 4 times in a month for a popular WL title seems closer to what I expect the norm to be. 

It might also help to take your WL off private; sometimes members post to others in the forums after reading their comments and wanting to know more about the other person. 

Could this be a case of the same book being posted and kicked back by an RC then reposted again and again ?  I had that happen with a book I kept posting that was WLed and the same person kept requesting it with an RC that I kept rejecting before I realized what was happening.  I set the book aside for a few monthes before reposting.

Yes the system will count the same copy over and over again if it's timing out, being delined, Not Nowed by wishers or cancelled by senders.  But with some of those it would bounce it back to FIFO unless the poster had their account on vacation. So 1 book could make it look like several has been posted. I have a WL book posted now that's triggered that thing 4 times now.  I think it's got a fairly long WL too but it's just cycling through members. 

In the mean time, I've had 4 heavily posted books ordered from me, including one that I jsut posted.
