I came across a person whose review posts are all about the physical condition of the book. "Small tear at the edge." "slightly stained in a small spot" etc. |

If you want to do so. I just thumbs-down the review and go along my way. If enough people give the review a thumbs-down it'll get hidden. |

Yes, I would PM. Because if you don't they will probably keep on doing it for a while, the whole time thinking that they can send out unpostables as long as they are noting the condition like that.

Very good point Sara. |

I also agree with Sara. And wondering if a TG or PBS admin should be notified, a bit more 'official' notification may be in order...any TG (Tour Guide) care to comment? |

and they probably don't understand that a review is not tied to any book on their shelf either, meaning that no one sees the review unless they specifically read ALL the reviews of a book and notice that the sender of the book they ordered wrote one of them. though I read a lot of reviews, I never pay attention if the book I'm being offered is actually from one of the reviewers-- quite unlikely anyway since so few people here do book reviews. |

There used to be a thread where people listed "bad reviews" so others can give them thumbs down and help move them down on the page. By bad review I mean reviews like the op mentioned or that just say "I didn't read it" or "good book" with no real review, not reviews about not liking the book. It also helps to give a thumbs up to the good ones. |

Speaking as a Tour Guide, if you want a more "official" voice to educate her about appropriate reviews, I'd ask the in-house Team via Feedback -- that way, it will be on record and they can take action if they deem it appropriate. Tour Guides don't have any special tools other than these shiny costumes they make us wear. |

Because the OP is talking about new reviews by a new member who seems to be trying to use PBS inappropriately, it would seem better, to me, to take some additional action. |
