How do some members have so many credits that they sell 50 per month? Did they ship out tons of books in the past?

Some peeps also purchase or accumulate credits over at the dvd site and then transfer them here to sell them. The transfer rate is 3 paperback swap credits for 2 dvd credits.

Yes. I've sold credits, and I've sent out many more books than I've received.

There are some members who have serveral hundred if not thousands of books posted. They do a lot of deals and then sell credits to recoup some postage.  Doing the book deals brings the per-credit cost down.

I've sent out 150 more books than I've requested, not including freebies I've sent.  I've sold credits a few time. I earned about 100 credits in the first month I was on here. Back then credits were selling for $3 in the book bazaar. So I sold a bunch off to recoup postage.  Now I just earn enough to cover my WL and donate more books.

I had a bunch of orders in July and am up to 30 credits now, awaiting some WL books (I hope).  But I got to thinking, it I give each credit  a value of $3.50 (much less than even a PB would cost me new), then that's over $100  --like having an unused giftcard sitting around!

I don't do Box of Books and rarely deals except on children's series.  I NEVER sell credits!

That makes sense.  I guess my bookshelves at home weren't as packed as I thought!
