I am a new member so if this has been asked before, please redirect me!  I have some Magic Tree House books listed - there are members wishing for these books.  Will these members be notified the books have been listed?  I didn't list these through the Members Wish List pages.

Also I have a book listed that has 3 short underlines on 1 page.  I would say the longest line is about 2.5", very neat - is not interfering with the wording.  This was required reading for dd and she underlined those parts for a test.  I will tell the member requesting the book upfront before the book is shipped.  OR should I remove the book?

hi there!

yes- if i have a book on my wish list and i am #1 one in line i will get a notice and have a chance to order the book

please remember the people have a few days to accept or decline before it moves to the next person in line so just be patient. and sometimes a book will go through multiple people before it makes it to some one who responds

and the book with underlining needs cannot be posted- i am sorry about that. i have several of those too from my sons required reading

you can do several things to "advertise" your un-postables

you can post in the bazaar, add a note to your signature line (see mine- willing to ship apo and the maps?)

you can also add it to your profile (if that is public)

hope this helps!

You can start a thread in the Book Bazzar for your unpostables.  You can offer them free with an order from your shelf or you can ask for a credit for them.  You do need to describe what makes the book unpostable and the other person needs to agree that it's fine with them if you're asking for credit for it.

The system may have sent out an email to those wishing another version of the magic treehouse books to let them know that another version was posted.  I say "may" because people have the option to turn that off.  They may specifically want those WL versions though especially if yours are paperback and the WL is for hardback.  Someone might be wishing the hardbacks for a daycare, school or library.

The underlining makes the book unpostable. If it's WL you can advertise it in the book bazaar and ask for a credit for it. But you must make the damage known.  It's ok to receive a credit for an unpostable book as long as it's the requestors decision.  YOu can't post it and inform them of the damage after it's requested.  Most likely no one will want to pay a credit for an unpostable book that's available in PBS already. I wouldn't because I repost all my books.  But sometimes people are willing to pay a credit for an unpostable WL book.
