This is the continuing memoir of Frank McCourt which began with Angela's Ashes. If you have not read it, you do not need to in order to read 'Tis, but I highly recommend it because it is a wonderful book. 'Tis tells of Frank McCourt's young adult life as he has left his family in Ireland and gone to make his own beginning in New York. You get to see his continuing poverty, struggle through school and becoming a teacher, and of course dealing with the colorful people who come in and out of his life. The writing style is very enjoyable and makes you feel as if you are there with Frank in some of his experiences. Highly recommended.
