By contrast, in FWF an outgrowth of Internet is used by those in power to monitor and control all working individuals through computer-integrated bank accounts, centralized employment records and other bureaucratic devices, coordinated by means of social security numbers assigned to each citizen from the moment of birth. Philip Deron soon finds himself in danger of becoming a pawn in the confrontation between the two opposing systems and countries.
