This is it! 'The Last Battle'; or actually battles. The whole world is at war!

The Wheel of Time series began in the 1990's with a great story, The Eye of The World, written by Robert Jordan at an exciting pace, within an ever widening world, full of new creatures and characters, and laced with threads and prophecies that he knew would be answered later in the series. The first few books were easy to read and keep track of the characters. But as the series grew so did the cast of characters, places and story-lines. And so, many readers dropped out and stopped reading the huge books that came out at a slow pace of a year or more between.

Well all of the waiting is over! The end is here and there are myriad twists and turns in the ending. So come back and find out what happens to Rand alThor. I don't think it is any surprise to tell you that many characters die in this book; some original, major characters included. But the ending is good. And so is the chance to see if all of those guesses for years gone by were correct ones.

As most followers know, Robert Jordan died several years ago, but detailed the outline of the story to be passed on to another writer. Brandon Sanderson has done a wonderful job maintaining Jordan's style and flow.

I read this book when it first came out, as I had the 13 prior books. But it is hard to digest everything in that rush to devour the information. So I recommend listening to this story on the CD. Michael Kramer and Kate Reading have continued to do a great job at voicing so many characters. And at 42 hours running time you will appreciate letting others deal with the eye strain of following the plots on paper.

To recap; this CD set is the way to complete this series. If you dropped out earlier, then come back and see how things end. If you have already read the book, as I had, listen to the audio recording and pick up the many details that likely eluded you during that first read.
