I really enjoyed this book, 100%, a delightful and interesting read. It's a shame that more British authors don't really seem to "make it" in the U.S.-- despite some of the slang that eluded me briefly at times, this book has universal themes of sibling relationships, forced self-exploration that typically follows bad behavior, and the relationship between the two. Interspersed with hilarious events such as an author reading on television, vomiting from too much to drink, and penguin-stealing from the zoo (complete with elaborate descriptions of penguin poo), is an insightful and witty book. If the author were a woman, I'd call this chick lit.

A fun book--kind of Nick Hornby-esque.
