I know it's only February, but I may have just read what could become my favorite book of 2016. It has been so long since I've read a book that captivated me as much as this juicy post-apocalyptic romance. This book has it all- adventure, suspense, sweet romance and mind blowing sex. The characters are so captivating and frequently had me laughing at their exchanges. I loved the storyline of how the virus started and actually found it quite believable. I think that is one of the scariest things about this book. Kudos to Zanetti for developing it along with the newest monsters on Earth- the Rippers. She did a marvelous job of melding the post-apocalyptic thriller and the sweeter romance story into a juicy total.
I had to force myself to put this book down and make it last more than one day simply because I did not want it to end. There is a second book coming out at the end of August but that's over six months away. It will feature Raze and Vivienne, characters you met in this book.

**I received an e-copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**
---------------------------------------

Having read the On The Hunt anthology, I had a previous taste of this story in the prequel novella, Scorpius Rising. And, call me naive, but I didn't actually realize this was the same series until I was about 10% through the book!

This book is a little outside my "normal" genre realm, but still appealed with the post-apocalyptic setting and alien virus issue. Jax Mercury & Lynne Harmony are strong protagonists with a terrific dynamic. Surrounded by many multi-faceted characters - several of whom I can see future books about in this series - and several of whom, unfortunately, you won't.

This is a fast-paced story with violence, death. love, and regrets a-plenty. What would happen if suddenly 90% of the world's population was either dead or insane after catching an alien virus? This book will give a detailed idea of this author's take! I could easily see this being a movie along the lines of the Resident Evil series.

Rebecca has created a well-though out and detailed world in this book, and I can't wait to "see" the rest of the series!

This is a post-apocalyptic romantic suspense novel. I am not a post-apocalyptic reader but must say after reading this I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out and have changed my opinion on "end-of'the-world" books. The characters are hot yet funny and the whole premise of the book was very believeable. Danger lurked around every corner and kept me riveted to my seat. I couldn't put the book down. Now again, remember I have not read this type of book before so my my opinion is based on no comparisons of other books of this nature. All I can say is I want a Jax in my life. LOL!!! This one truly gave me a reprieve from the daily grind.
