This is a travel experience to the Congo to Lake Tele to search for mokele-mbembe-- a dinosaur reputed to still be living in that area. The book is full of flora and fauna (and lots of bugs-- this is certainly not a journey I could ever make), fetishes and the spirit world of the Bantus and pygmies. Great for arm chair travel which is likely the only way I will visit this country.
