I just received the first chapter in this new comic book edition!!  It is great.  There are to be 4 out with the story and since I am not a serial book reader, it's going to drive me nuts waiting for the next to come out.  It seems to be a version of how it was when Mercy came to the Tri-Cities for the first time.  I now have an account with our local Comic Book Store so he could call me when any new comic comes out--------------------as I am 58 yrs. old, I feel as tho I am going thru my 2nd childhood!!

If you don't have a local comic store, you can get it on the website.  But always buy local if you can.

I found some on ebay and saved the link.  Will check with a few locals to see if they have them.  We got Welcome to the Jungle by Jim Butcher about a month ago.  It was done by the same group, Dabel Brothers.  4 episodes bound in hardback and it was great.  I understand how some folks don't like the graphic novels but think of the kids that may read them and then go on to the real books.  Anything that gets them reading is ok in my book  (he he).

I am looking forward to reading this series for more info on Mercy, I think Patricia Briggs is an excellent writer.  I read all the Mercy books and the Cry Wolf and its prequel.  Can't wait for Feb when the 4th Mercy comes out.

I don't like it when the comics are the same story as the book.  Much happier if the comic is a separate story.  Like a short story, related to the novels.   A good novel is very different than a short story or a comic.  Needs different structure and slightly different skill set.  Some great novelist can't write short stories.  And some comic book authors can't write novels.  Kinda like the difference between a play and a movie.  Very similar but not quite the same.
