This is a great Bible. It speaks in plain, today language. I study this version and the King James the most. This version is easy to read and understand. I read this Bible for my own study and also my teens like it because it is easy to understand. The author Eugene Peterson is great at explaining the Bible with a linguistic gift that does not miss any of the original meaning. If you want a Bible that you can understand and is linguistically beautiful; than this Bible is for you. Why am I parting with it? I have another copy.
