I'm a regular over at EJ's bulletin board and she had a get-together today for some of us BB'ers as she was in the Chicago area for a romance writer's conference.  She was incredibly gracious and sweet, and it was so nice of her to take the time out of her already busy schedule (she was the lunch speaker and then gave a workshop before meeting us, then went straight to a book signing).  I also won a copy of An Affair Before Christmas - her last book.  I already had a copy, but she autographed this one so it's going straight on my keeper shelf.  I wanted to win the ARC of her next book, but no such luck.  Oh well.

So many thanks to Eloisa and for Kim, her assistant who organized the meet.  And if you get a chance to meet Eloisa, go for it!  She's great!

Lucky you!  I really enjoy her books, I don't know what it is exactly, but her writing style seems more polished than many authors and I like how her books flow.

Lisa, I have the same problem here in MN, too far off the beaten path.  Though I do live less than an hour away from Mary Janice Davidson and only a half hour from the town where at least one of her stories is set (I think she lived there at one time) Cannon Falls, MN.  I keep hoping I will see a local event with her someday <fingers crossed>.
