I had a hard time trying to follow this book. You definitely do not want to get involved with your boss or become involved in a family feud. This story has a lot of surprising twists. With the appearance of the doll I seriously thought Luke was dying from a spell that had been put on him. I assume the story takes place in Atlanta, which is turning out to be a mecca for people of color. I just seriously had a problem dealing with the characters Candace, Luke and Jessica.
