A great read - it gives us what we're paying for when we buy Quick/Krentz/Castle novels: Tightly plotted stories with great suspense, characters you want to know, and cameos and references to characters you already know.

The order is complicated - really, really complicated.

Here's the order for the Harmony books:
Harmony World series
1. Bridal Jitters (2005)
2. After Dark (2000)
3. After Glow (2004)
4. Ghost Hunter (2006)
5. Silver Master (2007)
6. Dark Light (2008)
7. Obsidian Prey (2009)
Harmony (omnibus) (2002)
8. Midnight Crystal (2010) (with Jayne Ann Krentz)

But it is also part of the Dreamlight Trilogy which [in chronological order: is
BURNING LAMP written as Amanda Quick
FIRED UP written as Jayne Ann Krentz
MIDNIGHT CRYSTAL written as Jayne Castle

Which, of course, is part of the Arcane Society series...
As Quick: Arcane Society Historical
1. Second Sight (2006)
4. The Third Circle (2008)
6. The Perfect Poison (2009)
8. Burning Lamp (2010)

As Krentz: Arcane Society Contemporary
2. White Lies (2007)
3. Sizzle and Burn (2007)
5. Running Hot (2008)
7. Fired Up (2009)
10.In Too Deep (2011)

As Castle: Dreamlight Trilogy
9. Midnight Crystal (2010) (less)

More psychic fun and games with the Arcane Society on Harmony. A good, fun read.

From back cover: For many earthly centuries, a legendary curse has plagued the Winters family, stemming from the tumultuous founding of the Arcane Society. But now, on the futuristic world of Harmony, the curse's final mystery will be unraveled...
Adam Winters has enough responsibility as the new head of the local Ghost Hunter Guild without being saddled with the family curse. He's convinced his recent nightmares and hallucinations will lead to him becoming a psychic rogue--unless he can find a stolen relic and a woman who can read dreamlight.
Marlowe Jones rides into his life on a motorcycle and with a dust bunny at her side. Though a descendant of the rival Arcane family, she's just what Adam needs; a pshchic private investigator and dreamlight reader extraordinaire.
Together, amid the glowing catacombs and steamy underground jungles of Harmony, Adam and Marlowe must break the curse, save the entire underworld--and fight a passion that could destroy them both.

The third of the Dreamlight series embedded in the Arcane series is great! It combines a 'Ghosthunter Guild' head, Adam Winters, with an Arcane Society 'J&J' head, Marlowe Jones, a dreamlight reader, on planet Harmony with a bunch of dust bunnies. The Lamp has been stolen again, but Adam told Marlowe that the one Arcane had was a fake! It had been stolen several times over the centuries, and the Winters family had decided that it was safest it they kept track of it, and gave a fake to the Society. Of course, the family often lost it anyhow.

Adam has discovered an area of mirrors he believes powers the planet, but whose currents seem to be distorting. He needs Marlowe to help him use the Lamp to correct the currents and keep the planet from exploding.

There's also the fact that someone is trying to kill him. He suspects two council members, one of whom had hoped for the position of head of the guild.

The plot is complex, but I read it in one session! I've read all the Arcane and Harmony books and enjoyed the tie-ins that the author made.

Even if you've not read any of the previous books, you'll still enjoy this book if you like mystery, paranormal powers, romance, and dust bunnies!
