A wonderful little book. F. Murray Abraham talks about the work that went into his performance as Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream in Joseph Papp's production that led off his producing all of Shakespeare's plays. The book provides insight into the meanings of the play, the role of an actor, and behind-the-scenes preparation. At times I felt uncomfortable with Mr. Abraham's ego, but the man is an actor. You need to have belief in yourself to get on stage in front of all those critical strangers. Part of a series.
