I am a fan of Suzanne Brockmann's novels (what can I say... gotta love a man in uniform! LOL) but am starting to get a bit tired of the same series... I think we are on what... book 11??

Does anyone have suggestions for other authors that have a military hero (contemporary romances)?  Not to be picky.. but I am not a huge fan of Harlequin Romances... :-/

Thanks!

You want military/paramilitary/black ops hotties?

Cherry Adair - T-FLAC series

Cindy Gerard - The Bodyguards and Black Ops series

Lora Leigh - Tempting SEALs and Elite Ops series

All of these series have hot, hunky, uber-alpha heroes getting women out of and into trouble and saving the world. Not always in uniform, but then Brockmann's heroes are mostly former military also.

BTW, we're up to #15 in Brockmann's series. I read #14, Dark of Night, a few weeks ago and I've had enough of the politically correct, pro-gay narrative. I read fiction to escape reality, not get into philosophical debates.

I second Colleen's recommendations.

Marliss Melton's SEALs series (most are WL -- only the ones with * aren't)

2009 - Show No Fear
*2008 - Too Far Gone

Stephanie Tyler is coming out with a new SEAL series as well.  The first comes out this month.  (She also has some Blaze books about SEALs)

2009 - Hard to Hold

Gennita Low also has some good ones.  Gennita Low

Those are great books as fill from the Brockmann series.  Though I haven't read Stephaine Tyler.  I will add Roxanne St Clair to the mix.  I just started getting into her series.

Go to the All About Romance website,  or likesbooks.com (same website) and then go to the Readers Choice selection and the click on special title listings. There is a section under there for War. You will then see categories for all different wars that have happened  and I'm sure if you  choose one of the recent US wars you will find something good.

Also I have read some of Debbie Macomber's romances about military men. She has a Navy series that is good. I haven't read Dee Henderson, but I know she has some selections about military  men and such. I'm not sure how much romance they are as opposed to spy or adventure. She is also a Christian fiction writer and I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for.

Have a wonderful day!

Cathy's Wingmen Warriors series and her Special Ops series are both really good.

Titles are listed on her website-catherinemann.com I think.  Wingmen are SIM's but don't let that stop you.  I don't usually "do" categories either but for this series I make an exception.  First is Grayson's Surrender.  She has other longer books  too.  Inter-related but can be read as stand alones.

Cathy's a career military wife-so I find her portrayals quite accurate.

Christina Skye also has at least one military series.  I lost interest after the first couple-but that could just be me.

Amy Fetzer writes alot about Marines - one I particulary enjoyed was an anthology "Tell it to the Marines".  There are others too. Some more lighthearted than others.
